DescriptionThis paper details concerns over electricity privatisation (which the US and EU are pushing in the GATS negotiations in Cancun), and the impact on small decentralised community electrification. The Sri Lankan example gives a clear illustration of these concerns, which could impact on millions of people living in isolated communities in developing countries.
