How Biogas has Become the Leading Renewable Energy in Guanxi Provence, China

The following video shows an electricity generating biogas program and gives an insight to China's plans to connect 50 million households to biogas by the end of the decade.

According to the International Fund for Rural Development (IFAD), Biogas production in Guangxi saves emissions from an estimated 8 million tonnes of coal and 13 million tonnes of firewood annually. Guanxi also attributes it's 70% forest coverage to the environmental benefits of biogas production, putting it ahead of all other Chinese provences.
