Boiling Point is a HEDON journal for those working with stoves and household energy. It deals with technical, social, financial and environmental issues and aims to improve the quality of life for poor communities living in the developing world. If you do not receive Boiling Point and would like to do so, please login to HEDON and then under 'Manage Subscriptions' select 'subscribe' for Boiling Point. This feature may be found under the welcome/user centre page for logged in users. The editor would welcome your comments about the journal, and also receives subscription requests. E-mail boilingpoint@.... From being established in 1982 until issue 52 in 2006, Boiling Point was published by Practical Action. Back issues are available online here.

Energy for Sustainable Development, published by IEI (the International Energy Initiative) aims to enhance communication between Northern and Southern energy actors on energy goals and policies as well as with energy plans and projects in developing countries. It also aims to promote South-South interactions to tackle these problems. Topics include renewables and end use efficiency (in the industrial, transport, domestic, commercial and agricultural sectors), generation (including development) of energy technologies and their dissemination, and hardware (for the conversion of primary energy as found in nature into convenient secondary energy, for transmission/transport and distribution and for utilisation in enduse devices) and software (relating to energy policies, institutions, management and financing). GLOW, the newsletter of ARECOP, was started in 1991 with the intention of sharing information about effective biomass-related appropriate technology and dissemination strategies, methods of program development, and means of improving program components. GLOW is a forum for exchange of experiences and ideas on cookstoves and related issues and is published on a quarterly basis. Akshay Urja, the newsletter of the Indian Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, was set up to promote use of renewable sources of energy across the country. Each issue of the newsletter has reports on national and international developments, technical reviews, success stories and case studies. You can see the back issues of the magazine here

GTZ Energy News, provides information on GTZ’s work on climate protection and energy, with updates on current projects, events and publications. This newsletter is published six times per year. Back issues are available online.

CDM Highlights is monthly newsletter that provides brief information on the latest developments in the international negotiations relating to the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). You can subscribe by emailing climate@.... The newsletter is distributed in English and a French version is then later distributed. Back issues are available online.

Receive HEDON Household Energy News from worldwide sources. Receive approximately 1 email per month. Automatic subscription for HEDON members via the user centre.

The Renewable Energy Policy Programme (REPP) hosts the 'Stoves' discussion list, a moderated email discussion on improved biomass cookstoves. Discussions, generally of a technical nature, are vigorous - expect on average 5 email messages per day. Sign up in the HEDON user centre (for HEDON members) or visit their web page.
