ARECOP - The Asia Regional Cookstove Programme

ARECOP network is made up of organizations and individuals, primarily non-governmental involved in improved cookstove programs and/or issues of household biomasss energy use. The networking cover 14 countries in the Asia Region, which include : Bangladesh, China, Bhutan, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Indonesia, India, Nepal, the Philippine, Vietnam and Laos. Laos is the latest addition to the network.

Goals:

ARECOP aims to enhance the viability of biomass fuel as a manageable and ecologically sound energy resource for households, small-scale industries and institutions in Asia.

The creation of a strong network of communication and cooperation will ensure that the needs of biomass fuel users will continue to be addressed in the future.
