Lasten Mika is an electrical/renewable energy engineer, who has spent the last ten years working in the private and NGO sector in Southern Africa conducting energy/environment research, electrical installations, developing energy converting products, building the capacity of local communities in the use of renewable energy technologies and promoting energy efficiency technologies/techniques. To date he has a number of products that he has developed that have reached commercialisation stage and these include the tunnel solar drier, solar charge controller, improved institutional wood burning stoves and central solar battery charging station He has run a number of training workshops on energy efficiency and renewable energy for the private sector, government and NGO stakeholders.
