Daniel Kammen is a professor in the Energy and Resources Group, and in the Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California, Berkeley, where he is also the Co-Director of the Berkeley Institute of the Environment. Kammen was a lead author and serves on the Executive Committee of the Energy Biosciences Institute, a partnership of UC Berkeley, the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. EBI is supported by a 10 year, $500 million research contract from BP, the largest single grant in university history. Kammen was a lead author for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) that shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize with Al Gore. PhD, Harvard University (1988).
