Page of Ally Charlton[top] [end]I am a project manager for Carbon Positive, a company specialising in the development and management of sustainable agro-forestry and bio-energy projects, with a focus on earning CERs (carbon credits) under the Kyoto Protocol's Clean Development Mechanism. I am also the company's Africa representative, based in Nairobi, Kenya.I am currently managing a pilot project in Ethiopia for the distribution and monitoring of efficient wood-burning stoves, for both households and institutions. The project aims to give us a thorough and accurate understanding of the costs and practicalities of implementation, as well as the impact of the stoves in terms of fuel consumption. It will provide the foundation for the design and implementation of larger stove projects which we hope to develop in Ethiopia and elsewhere based upon carbon-financing models. We have a number of other stove-related projects in the pipeline, and are keen to collaborate with others in this field, particularly on improving the conditions for this kind of project under the CDM, as well as sharing general experiences on project design and management.
