GEF Small Grants Programme
Governments through UNDP
The Small Grants Programme (SGP) provides grants for projects that
are designed and implemented by local community organizations and
non-governmental organizations and that meet the objectives of GEF
(reduction of greenhouse gas emissions leading to sustainable
development)

are considered to be in the Arab states)

The types of activities eligible for SGP include community-based
demonstration programmes, pre-project community-based assessment
and planning activities, targeted research with emphasis on
indigenous knowledge and management systems, and information
dissemination, networking and policy dialogue. Applications need to
come from within the host-nation.
