[top] [end]Description of Organisation

Energy Alternatives Africa was established in 1993 as a private business involved in conducting energy surveys, marketing and installation of renewable energy technologies, especially solar energy.

EAA has more than 15 years of experience working on the ground in Africa, and has developed a wide spectrum of expertise in renewable energy technologies (RETs). EAA's expertise is enhanced by its commercial partnership with a UK-based sustainable energy consultancy, Energy for Sustainable Development Ltd (ESD).

It has identified the need for the formation of a strong lobby group for renewable energy technologies and policy.
