Boiling Point 45: Low-cost electrification for household energy - Autumn 2000

Boiling Point
Front cover of Boiling Point issue 45
Issue 45 (2000) Low-cost electrification for household energy

[top] [end]Overview

Boiling Point usually focuses its attention on producing heat for cooking and space heating. However, the quality of people’s lives can be improved greatly by access to light, radio, TV, and small power tools etc. Most of this edition of Boiling Point is theme material – but please don’t miss two excellent articles though – again on important subjects which have not been addressed lately. A very practical article on making low-cost grates to improve combustion efficiency of stoves, and another article on passive solar heating of water.
