Stoves for a better life wins Energy Globe Award

The Bolivian stove project "Stoves for a better life" won a national award for the dissemination of improved cooking technologies at the recent Energy Globe Awards in Brussels on 11 April 2007 The Bolivian project 'Stoves for a better life' was happy to receive one of the national Energy Globe Awards on April 11 in Brussels. The jury prized the project, which is implemented by the German Technical Cooperation (GTZ), for its outstanding work. The project aims at helping poor people to get access to sustainable and clean household energy. The Energy Globe is awarded to projects from all over the world which make careful and economical use of resources and employ alternative energy sources. In 2006, more than 700 projects from all over the world applied for the renowned award. | |
