Ashden Award new paper on sustainable energy

The Ashden Awards for Sustainable Energy has published a new research document reviewing ten development programs in Africa and Asia.

Ashden Award for Sustainable Energy has just released a new research pubblication, commissioned by DFID. It reviews ten Ashden Award-winning low carbon energy access programmes bringing heat and light to poor communities in the developing world. Together, the ten programmes serve more than nine million people in Asia and Africa and save an estimated 1.9 million tonnes of CO2 a year.

The work was carried out by the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED), with support from GVEP International (Global Village Energy Partnership).

The research is now available online at http://www.ashdenawards.org/reports/low_carbon_energy.
