The deadline is fast approaching for Netherlands Fellowship Programme (NFP) finance for this climate change course - 1st December 2007

The Department of Technology and Sustainable Development (TSD formerly TDG) of the University of Twente, together with the International Division of Social & Economic Sciences of the International Institute for Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) and the UNEP Risoe Centre on Energy, Climate and Sustainable Development (URC) have jointly organised a short international course on "Formulating proposals for CDM projects". The course will be held from 10th March - 12th April 2008.

The aim of the course is to develop participants’ skills in writing fundable proposals in the field of energy, environment and climate change with particular focus on CDM proposal writing. In this way, the participants can contribute to the sustainable development of their countries.

Our short courses have been approved for the Nuffic NFP short course list. If you are therefore admitted to our course you can request for a NFP fellowship. Potential applicants who intend to apply for NFP funding are advised that the deadline for funding applications is 1 December 2007. For more information on this fellowship please visit the Nuffic website. Please note that you will need a letter of admission from University of Twente before applying for NFP funding for this course.

In the past, international organizations such as UNIDO, UNDP, the World Bank, ESCAP, Commission of the European Communities etc., as well as national organizations, have made fellowships available for the course. Potential candidates are therefore advised to explore various funding possibilities in their respective countries.
