The SEE Forum is an Asia-Pacific academic, scientific and technological network that brings forward the dialogue on global issues of common concern. The overall goal of the SEE Forum is to promote “New Energy Initiatives” and to seek academic, scientific and technological cooperation that will contribute to the global climate and energy security issues.
In this context, the Joint International Conference on “Innovations for Renewable Energy: How Science can help” (IRE) that combines “Innovations for Environmental Actions” Symposium and “7th SEE Forum” Meeting will be held at Hanoi University of Science (HUS), Vietnam during 20th – 23rd September 2010.
This Joint International Conference will bring a sound effect towards the entire framework of the SEE Forum (www.seeforum.net).
In the present era of high-energy consumption in every sphere of life, renewable energy sources are emerging as alternatives to conventional fuels for energy security. In Asian region, renewable energy sources are abundantly available and can provide energy security to most of its areas. The barriers to improving renewable energy utilizing ASEAN countries are the weakness of governments’ policies and lack of cheap technologies for numerous numbers of farmers.
This conference focuses on:
- Potential of Renewable Energy (RE) in Asian region
- State of Art of Renewable Energy Technologies
- Efficiency of RE Exploitation in the rural areas
- Policy on RE in ASEAN and Asia countries
- Co-operation in the field of RE
