The "Small is…" Festival takes place on 5-6th September 2009. It will be a celebration and exploration of Schumacher’s Small is Beautiful and what it means today – held in the grounds of Practical Action in Warwickshire.
The two day event will involve workshops, hands-on learning, debates, photo exhibitions and networking around topics relating to international development and the planet. There will also be kids activities, a solar cinema, music, dancing and camping amongst many other attractions! It will be attended by around 300 people made up of Practical Action staff, members of Engineers without Borders and others within the development community. This is the first event of its kind and the plans are looking really exciting – but it’s the participants that really make it special!
