REEEP 8th Funding Round

The eighth REEEP global programme cycle will kick off in March 2011 with a call for proposals for projects in REEEP core areas, i.e. renewable energy and energy efficiency policies, regulations, finance and business models. United front for clean energy at the World Future Energy Summit

REEEP, REN21 and the International Institute for Sustainable Development each enjoyed a podium on the IRENA stand at the 2011 World Future Energy Summit (WFES) in Abu Dhabi. “By kindly hosting these key clean energy organisations on their stand at WFES, the International Renewable Energy Agency really sent a clear signal that collaboration is the way forward in driving the low-carbon energy transition,” notes Marianne Osterkorn.

The Philippines’ first RE market to be established soon

The Energy Department is taking steps to put up the country’s first Renewable Energy (RE) market which will be a venue for issuance, trading and monitoring of RE certificates to comply with the Renewable Portfolio Standard (RPS) established by the RE Act 2008.

Energy for All project portfolio

The Energy for All Partnership’s goal is to provide energy access to 100 million people in Asia and the Pacific Region by 2015. REEEP is a member of the international Steering Committee of this Asian Development Bank (ADB)-led initiative and REEEP’s Regional Secretariat for Southeast Asia and the Pacific (REEEP SEAP) assists with driving activities in the Pacific region.
