This event will be held at a NEW location

This month we have the exciting opportunity of hearing from Paul Riley, The Director of SCORE at the University of Nottingham, and MD of Inovex Limited and Technical Director of RoKD Limited. Paul will be presenting on:

"The Score Stove™: using thermal waves to generate electricity from cooking"

Applying Thermo-Acousitc, electrical generating engines in rural areas for development.

Score is a £2M, six-institution EPSRC funded, research project to develop a wood burning stove that will generate electricity and cooling utilising thermo-acoustic technology for use in developing countries. The talk will provide a unique opportunity to hear about the cutting edge research being conducted at these universities and to examine the potential the technology has to meet rural electricity needs as well as address key issues facing the development and integration of improved cookstove technologies in developing countries.

Following the talk there will be the opportunity to continue discussions and
networking at a local pub recommended by the staff at City University.
