Campaign for Sustainable Rural Livelihoods (CSRL), a coalition of more than two hundred grassroots, national and international organizations, has been working extensively on agriculture, trade policy and climate change with a view to promote sustainable development of the rural people who are persistently fighting against poverty and vulnerability.

CSRL, as a part of its series of activities on climate change, has planned to organize a Shadow Climate Tribunal to be held on Monday, 8 November 2010 between 10.00am and 1.00pm at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre, Dhaka. CSRL expects that the planned shadow tribunal in Bangladesh would help establishing an important link between the science of climate change, its national and international legal aspects and the on-going multilateral negotiations under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which would play a crucial role to protect the interests of people in the least-developed countries including Bangladesh, small island states, and developing countries.

Humanitywatch is a regional right based organisation registered under Society Act XXI of Bangladesh and working in southwest coastal zone of Bangladesh in the issues of forest, biodiversity, climate change, education and indigenous knowledge.
