The Climate Technology Initiative (CTI) and the CTI Private Financing Advisory Network (CTI PFAN) are pleased to announce the formal launch of the Africa Forum for Clean Energy Financing (AFRICEF).

The Forum provides selected clean energy projects with free support and assistance on the preparation of bankable business plans and professional investor pitches before connecting them with investors and finance at a specially conceived investors Forum to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa on July 21st 2010.

AFRICEF is open to projects from any African Country, and particularly targets projects from South Africa, Mozambique and Uganda. Applicants need to respond to the attached call for proposals by 16th April; full details, guidelines for the application and application documents are available at the CTI PFAN website ( under the events section

AFRICEF is being sponsored and co-organised by the CTI, CTI PFAN, United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) and the International Center for Environmental Technology Transfer (ICETT) together with the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) of Uganda and the South African National Energy Research Institute (SANERI).
