I work with the NGO: HORIZON NATURE, (HN)
The Coordinator: Mrs Chantal SHALUKOMA
Region: Bukavu, DR Congo.

Established since 1998 and work in Conservation-Development with youth people, women and Indigenous (Pygmies) around the Mountain Forest of the Kahuzi-Biega National Park, which is a World Heritage Site.

Since 2008, with the financial support of NC-IUCN (Netherland), Horizon Nature is carrying out a project on "the valorisation of improved cooks (stoves)" with the aims to contribute in saving this path of mountain forest (which shelter the lowland gorillas) and fighting against the large deforestation in the area. Now, we are producing stoves (500 per production) but we need to improve our strategies with leaders, communities and others.

The request is that, the technical team would like to visit a project which has an experience in the matter by producing, selling and sensibilizing communuties for the use of the improved stoves for their many advantages. The visit may take 5 to 7 days, focused on the working startegies on the fields whith the stakeholders. We need a contact and an organisation who can welcome us for the visit.
