Principal consultant and programme manager at Eco Ltd, Dr Rona Wilkinson is a specialist in Rural Energy and Development, with 10 years consulting experience in Europe, Africa and Asia. She is an experienced senior energy and development project manager, who has worked on decentralised electrification using renewable energy resources in Africa and Asia, and has specialised in the practical issues associated with the widespread uptake of sustainable energy, including programme planning, policy, resource assessment, environmental impact, community level decision-making, private sector involvement, financing and training. She has been instrumental in advising on government policy for facilitating greater private sector participation in delivering decentralised electrification. She has authored several practical guidelines in best practice and delivered training courses to private sector, government and NGO stakeholders.
