Currently I am working closely with Project Gaia on the introduction of clean-burning bioethanol stoves using renewably sourced fuel for those living in poverty. I am also involved in a study for the World Bank, lead by Practical Action Consultants, looking at the feasibility of ethanol as a fuel in Madagascar. I do editing work on an ongoing basis for GTZ.Previously I managed an international project on smoke alleviation (Kenya, Nepal, Sudan) for Practical Action, supported by the UK government Department for International Development. This project, using participatory approaches, is seeking to identify means to overcome the barriers which prevent people from accessing clean technologies of choice. I was involved in all aspects of this work: training staff for air quality measurement; developing protocols, data input and analysis and overall project management. Recently I have done work for Eco Ltd, and am involved with the development of the HEDON network. Until June 2006, I was responsible for the household energy journal Boiling Point, which now forms part of HEDON. I have contributed a few articles to the Knowledge Base, including: [top] [end]Contact detailsChestnut House, Combrook, Warwicks CV35 9HP, UK.
