Andrew Barnett is a economist who has worked on issues of energy, technology and poverty for over 25 years. He acts as an advisor to: the Shell Foundation Programme on Energy and Poverty; the DfID Knowledge and Research programme, the Institute of Development Studies research on Energy Poverty and Gender, and the technical advisory group of the World Bank’s Energy Sector Management Assistance programme. Andrew has been associated with ITDG since the early 1970’s and has been a Trustee, staff member and ‘member’ of the organisation.
