University Teknikal Malaysia (UTeM) Or Technical University of Malaysia, Malaysia

Faculty of Electrical Engineering was established in early 2001 and formally in operation on 22 June 2001 after getting approved by the Ministry of Education Malaysia at the temporary campus in Taman Tasik Utama, Ayer Keroh, Melaka. Starting from May 3, 2005 the Faculty is officially operated at the main campus in District Durian Tunggal, Melaka.

As one of an important academic unit in Universiti Teknikal Malaysia (UTeM), this faculty has full concentration on academic, practical and training in electrical engineering field. These are 4 departments which coordinate the academic and courses management. There are Department of Power Industry, Department of Power Electronics & Drives, Department of Control, Instrumentation & Automation and Department of Mechatronics Engineering.

The combination of lecturers, teaching engineers and tutors from various field of expert is essential in order to produce graduates with competency in academic and technical knowledge before they get into industry.
