Energy and Resources Group, at UC Berkeley, USA

The Energy and Resources Group, at UC Berkeley, has extensive experience on the policy, technical, economic, and health aspects of biomass energy and rural cooking, particularly in Africa and Latin America.

The Renewable and Appropriate Energy Laboratory (RAEL), directed by Dr. Dan Kammen has the equipment needed for in-depth measurements of IAP and GHG emissions both in laboratory and field conditions.

RAEL is working together with GIRA Mexico on a cookstove project supported by the Shell Foundation entitled Promoting clean multiple-fuel cooking for improved rural livelihoods in Latin America
