Goals/aims

The Uganda Energy Fund provides lease financing for the purchase of energy related equipment by the following types of enterprises:

SME's that wish to acquire modern energy generation/utilization technologies or products that enable them to increase productivity

SMEs that manufacture, distribute and/or sell energy services/products

SMEs that manufacture, distribute, and/or sell energy efficiency services/products

General conditions

Cooperatives, NGOs or institutional partners may be eligible if they can demonstrate how through this intervention modern energy services will be used or provided on a financially viable basis. The Fund will consider a full-menu of modern energy services/products, including off-grid electrification schemes, all types of liquid, gaseous and solid fuels, and all types of renewable energy.
