Mr Recycle, South Africa

A business concept that will create jobs for Commercially Unemployable and/or Previously Disadvantaged Community members through the collection of mixed recyclable materials from residents and commercial sites in the areas in which we operate.
A small collection fee is charged to cover the collection expenses, and the value of the recyclable materials after separation are used to subsidize the costs thereof.

The system is simple, the infrastructural requirements minimal, but the opportunities for job creation and upliftment boundless.
The Job Creation Centres are also used as sites that larger corporations may choose to make use of to reach the "grass roots community who we are working with" to educate about HIV Aids, Shack Fire Fighting and Financial Guidance.

Obviously, additional funding is required and all donations welcome.
Each branch requires about R150 000 to start, so ten successful branches are required to start one.

Each 8 000 collection point creates 36 jobs and removes 128 000 kilograms of recyclable materials a month from landfill!
