If you've noticed something missing, a link that doesn't work, etc., you can formally submit an issue and we will solve it as soon as we can.








Having trouble using the website?



Registering and signing in


Tips for registration:
  • Make sure you have entered the Anti-Bot verification code correctly.
  • Check that you are not already registered as a member with that email address.

Tips for signing in:
  • If you cannot log in you may well have the wrong password, you can reset this using the link below adding your details.

Editing your profile


It's important to keep your details up-to-date. You can do this by visiting MY HEDON and clicking on the profile tab. If you want to edit setting on your account, like changing your password or deleting your account, just click on the account tab.

Changing your email address


If you have changed your email, but still want to be a member of HEDON you don't need to create a new account, simply contact us with your old email address, a few details about yourself (so we can verify you), and the email address you would like to change to.

Looking for something?



Search for an organisation, project or person


Simply visit one of the databases; organisations, projects or members, and enter any details you know about your search in the column to the left.

Information on a technical topic


There are lots of ways to find out the information your looking for.
  • Firstly, try visiting the forums. If your question falls under one of those catagories you will definitely get an answer by posting your question there.
  • If your technical query is more detailed, our Boiling Point editorial team would love to hear from you. We include helpline responses in our journal to real life scenarios.
  • The next step is to use our website search function, found near the top right of every page. Put in a few key words relating to your question and see what comes up.
  • Lastly, if the technical information you require is no where to be found, contact us and will endeavour to find someone who can help.

How to make columns


The code is:

This will look like:

Row 1, Column 1
Row 1, Column 2

The --- moves along to the next column, and @@@ starts a new row.

You can replace the column size numbers with any width, however please note that the page width is 640 pixels, so both numbers must total below this. Alternatively you can replace the numbers with percentage, similarly, this must total to 100%.

Simply take the HEDON url, remove the http://www.hedon.info/ section, leaving you with the page title. Place this text after the [ symbols, then place a | symbol, then the text you want to display, finished with another ] symbol.

As long as you have headings in the body of you page (these begin with ! , !! , !!! or !!!! ), then you can populate a table of contents. This has been used at the top of this page.

Please note; you need admin permissions to do this. Go to http://www.hedon.info/tiki-adminusers.php and under the column "action" click on the icon "edit".

Banning a user


Please note; you need admin permissions to do this. Go to http://www.hedon.info/tiki-admin_banning.php, under 'Rule Title' enter something, e.g. "ban user xxx from messaging". Under 'username regex matching', put the user's username (email address). Check 'user_messages'. Click Save to confirm the banning rule.
