Rampant poaching had decimated black rhino, elephant and buffalo populations to shocking levels. FOC was established to slow and in some cases halt the wildlife and habitat degradation within one of the most bio-diverse and ecological important regions in the world.[top] [end]Mission StatementTo fully empower local communities with additional skills to manage land, wildlife and natural resources for long-term survival of all concerned.[top] [end]Approach, organisational programmes and activities:
