An Electrical Engineer by training, Tinashe has accumulated experience in project formulation implementation and management. He has specialised in planning, designing and implementing energy, water and environmental projects and has previous experience as a design engineer specialising in building services and telecommunications engineering with Scott Wilson Consulting Engineers.

Tinashe has extensive training experience including directing an SADC Regional Training Course on Biomass Technologies in Swaziland, community hydro training in Mozambique and micro-hydro capacity building for ERAP.

Tinashe is the Southern Africa Team Leader for Intermediate Technology Development Group (Practical Action) responsible for Infrastructure Services and manages a portfolio of water, energy and shelter projects. He leads a team of at least twenty permanent and temporary professional staff to implement projects in Zimbabwe and Mozambique. He has training and experience in small hydropower design and implementation and designed and managed the Nyamarimbira Hydro Power Project, Svinurai Hydro Power Project both in the Eastern Highlands of Zimbabwe and the rehabilitation of two hydro schemes in Manica Province of Mozambique.

On the water sector Tinashe managed the design and implementation of seven irrigation schemes in Manicaland (Nyamarimbira, Nyautare, Nyarumvurwe, Bende in Nyanga, rehabilitation works for Mutambara and Chakohwa in Chimanimani and Nyamaropa in Nyanga). He managed a project to drill forty new boreholes and rehabilitate 1200 others in the semi arid districts of Gwanda, Nkayi, Gokwe South, Mwenezi and Bulilimamangwe in Zimbabwe.

Tinashe has also previously managed a portfolio of projects developing small enterprises to produce low cost building materials in the form of stabilised soil blocks to replace traditional farm bricks and clay bricks and micro-concrete roof tiles.

Lasten Mika is a Renewable Energy Engineer with expertise in decentralized renewable energy projects, and training and capacity building. He is also a part time lecturer on Masters of Science Degree in Renewable Energy at the Zimbabwe University. He attended a Training the Trainers Course on Energy Conservation in Zimbabwe in 2000.
