Chardust Ltd. is a Kenyan company with 3 Directors ( Elsen Karstad, Matthew Owen and John Njuguna). Employs 70 people manufacturing briquettes from discarded charcoal dust. Sells 200-250 t/mth into the local market, primarily to poultry farmers, hotels, lodges and restaurants. Chardust also provides consultancy services to donors and others seeking to establish similar enterprises, and is currently supporting a venture in Kenya to carbonise and briquette macadamia nut shells.
