[top] [end]Journal Overview

Boiling Point is a practitioner’s journal for those working with household energy and stoves. It deals with technical, social, financial and environmental issues and aims to improve the quality of life for poor communities living in the developing world.

We are now following an Accelerated Publication schedule to bring you articles faster than ever before. This means that:
  • Boiling Point is now published on a quarterly basis
  • We invite readers to submit articles, papers and news on a rolling basis at any time. So if you feel that you have something to contribute to the wider household energy community, then please read the information below and send us your experiences - HEDON would love to hear from you!
  • With our online version you don't have to wait until an entire journal issue is completed, printed and bound. Complete issues are online weeks before print publication and each individual accepted article is made available in an 'Open issue' as soon as it is ready for publication, often weeks before the issue is complete. This guarantees that your work is published faster and readers will benefit from articles that appear in the electronic journal weeks or months before the printed issue is available.
Boiling Point looks for articles which are written in English, Spanish, French or Chinese, preferably using clear and plain language, and which can be used by other people in their own work. Do not be deterred, however, if you are not used to writing - it is the information that is important - we will review articles, edit them and return them for your approval prior to being published.
