Issue 58 (2010) Marketing

Boiling Point is a practitioner’s journal for those working with household energy and stoves. It deals with technical, social, financial and environmental issues and aims to improve the quality of life for poor communities living in the developing world. Articles are contributed by readers and the journal is a forum for the sharing of information and experiences on household energy. Boiling Point reaches over two thousand addresses and has probably five times that number of readers worldwide. Boiling Point was created in 1982 by Practical Action who published the first 52 issues. Back issues are available here .

Boiling Point now follows an Accelerated Publication schedule to bring you articles faster than ever before. With our online version you don't have to wait until an entire journal issue is completed, printed and bound. Complete issues are online weeks before print publication and each individual accepted article is made available in an 'Open issue' as soon as it is ready for publication, often weeks before the issue is complete. This guarantees that authors see their work published faster and readers will benefit from articles that appear in the electronic journal weeks or months before the printed issue is available.

Ideally Boiling Point looks for articles which are written in plain clear English and which have positive information which can be used by other people in their own work. Do not be deterred if English is not your first language, or if you are not used to writing - it is the information which is important - we will edit articles and return them for your approval. To make a submission please email your article to boilingpoint@....
