User guide: Add a News Item

If you have a good idea and would like to share it with the HEDON community, this guide will help you. The more information you provide regarding your idea/project the better. Include details on what kind of opportunities are there for the project, who would be involved, geographical area, possible finance and of course contact details.

1. At the home page login - enter your email address and password.



2. From the 'user actions' menu select the option to 'add news'.



3. The page will appear like the one shown below - you can now enter your text in the spaces provided - add a Headline, Sub-heading (if necessary) and the content of your article.



4. Include any weblinks that would be useful relating to your article.

5. Use the Special Formatting Codes to help with formatting your article. Click on the link at the bottom of the your page and a pop up guide will assist you.

6. Once you have included all of the information, click 'add' to save your news item.
