Welcome to the launch of LiquidSIG, a group which is both quite timely and most necessary. A great debate over the potential costs and benefits of liquid fuels has begun, with many of the key issues not only still emerging, but with much evidence upon which to build a case not yet in existence. Unfortunately, this gap in knowledge has not pre-empted governments and policy-makers from formulating decisions which will undoubtedly shape the future of household energy for decades to come. If no steps are taken to fill this gap, those most in need of a healthy, reliable and affordable source of energy may be the most harmed.
This is where LiquidSIG comes in: to begin to fill in the gaps so we can make the appropriate decisions in our own endeavours with liquid fuels, to connect us with others able to help us achieve our goals, and to address the wider knowledge gap in national and international circles.
The fervour with which we do so is entirely up to us. On a most fundamental level, this will be achieved by the sharing of information and knowledge among members of LiquidSIG.
