The Women's Refugee Commission is pleased to announce a product training of the IASC SAFE Task Force. The training will take place from 09:00 until 17:30 on 24-25 February at the Hotel Linda, Goma, Democratic Republic of Congo.

The training will focus on new guidelines on access to safe cooking fuel supported by the IASC in November 2008: a matrix of roles and responsibilities for ensuring a fuel strategy coordinated multi sector in humanitarian contexts, and diagrams of 'Trees for Decision on factors affecting the choice of fuel strategy in humanitarian settings.

During training, participants will learn about:
  • The multi-sectoral nature of cooking fuel in humanitarian contexts
  • The relevance of cooking fuel in the activities of each agency / sector group
  • Methods for ensuring access to safe cooking fuels in the appropriate contexts of land and various phases of humanitarian response
Participants will also:
  • Learn how to implement the tools of the IASC Guidelines Task Force SAFE
  • Simulate development of a fuel strategy appropriate short and long term humanitarian contexts hypothetical
The training also includes a "train the trainers" for interested participants to train colleagues on the additional ground.

Training will be delivered in French, but English versions of materials are also available. If you prefer materials in English, please let us know if you like with your registration.

Annonce de Formation: Produits de la Task Force IASC SAFE

La Women’s Refugee Commission a le plaisir d’annoncer une formation sur les produits de l’IASC Task Force SAFE. La formation aura lieu de 09h00 à 17h30 les 24-25 février à l’Hôtel Linda, à Goma, République démocratique du Congo.

La formation sera concentrée sur les nouvelles directives sur l’accès sécuritaire au combustible de cuisson soutenues par l’IASC en Novembre 2008 : une Matrice sur les rôles et responsabilités pour assurer une stratégie combustible multi secteur coordonnée dans les contextes humanitaires, et des Schémas d’Arbres à Décisions sur les facteurs affectant le choix d’une stratégie combustible dans les contextes humanitaires.

Lors de la formation, les participants en apprendront plus sur :
  • La nature multi sectorielle du combustible de cuisson dans les contextes humanitaires
  • La pertinence du combustible de cuisson aux activités de chaque agence/groupe sectoriel
  • Les méthodes pour assurer l’accès sécuritaire aux combustibles de cuisson appropriés dans les contextes de terrain et phases diverses de la réponse humanitaire
Les participants vont aussi :
  • Apprendre comment implémenter les outils de directives du IASC Task Force SAFE
  • Simuler le développement d’une stratégie combustible appropriée à court et long terme dans des contextes humanitaires hypothétiques
La formation comprend aussi une « formation des formateurs » pour les participants intéressés de former des collègues supplémentaires sur le terrain.

La formation sera livrée en Français, toutefois des versions en Anglais des matériaux sont aussi disponibles. Si vous préféreriez les matériaux en Anglais, veuillez nous le signaler s’il vous plait avec votre inscription.
