GERES is particularly pleased to announce the launching of a new Community of Practice: www.solargreenhouse.org

Anybody interested in sharing experiences and knowledge on greenhouses is welcome to join this innovative platform.

This community of best practice aims at dissemination of solar greenhouse in the cold regions of Asia. Therefore, it provides a common platform to share experiences and knowledge on solar greenhouses. The framework leads to achieve desire results in improvement of winter livelihood in such region. This best practice web site is facilitated by GERES and funded by ASHDEN award, EU and Fondation Ensemble.

Passive Solar Greenhouses awarded at the Ashden Awards for Sustainable Energy 2009

The scheme to promote Passive Solar Greenhouse in Ladakh, Indian Himalayas, has been awarded at the Ashden Awards for Sustainable Energy 2009!

This scheme has been developed and implemented by GERES, LEHO, LEDEG, LNP, SKARCHEN, STAG and Ecosphere with the financial support from European Commission and Fondation Ensemble
